There are few faster ways to wake up than by taking a unexpected dip in Montana's very cold water. And the reason so many people who engage in watersports (such as kayaking, rafting, etc...) in Montana end up waking up real fast is because they lack the proper footwear, whether it be a water shoe or a water sandal, to go with whatever activity they are doing.
Thus, to help keep visitors to Montana from becoming an unexpected casualty of Montana's cold waters, I've put together this little section about one of the more boring topics around - water footwear.
So, what, women's teva water shoes, exactly is water footwear? Well, water footwear are shoes and/or sandals that have been specifically designed for people who engage in active watersports, such as river floating, shore fishing, etc...Basically, these types of footwear are ideal for anyone who bascially will be going in and out of water on a frequent basis over the course of a day.
Three Basic Types of Water Footwear
There are three basic types of water footwear that most people use. The first is the stylish, but ineffective, boat shoe. The second is the much more popular water sandal. And the third, my favorite, is the rather odd looking water shoe. To learn more about the differences among these types of footwear, visit the Differences Between Water Shoes and Water Sandals page.
Benefits of Water Footwear
The benefits of using specialized water footwear are many. While these benefits are further flushed out on other pages, a quick summary of these benefits include:
* Safety - Water footwear, particularly water shoes, provide excellent traction on wet, slippery surfaces (i.e. - wet rocks).
* Comfort - Water footwear is much more comfortable than regular shoes - since water footwear does not become soaked or waterlogged once submerged.
* Durability - Water footwear is specifically designed to be durable (i.e. - no mold problems or breaking down of leather due to constant immersion in water).
So, if you plan on engaging in active watersports in Montana or elsewhere, give some strong consideration to getting a good pair of water sandals or water shoes. To learn more about any of these footwear products, just go to any of the following articles. |
